Yes Monica, you make very excellent points.
Many perfumes and colognes do have a strong alcohol base. Yes, they can be drying to hair. Many experts claim spraying perfume, cologne or any other fragrance with an alcohol base can potentially be damaging.
I like your idea of spraying at the base of your neck. I also like the idea of spraying clip-in extensions, which probably won't be impacted by the perfume and/or cologne.
If you want to spray perfume into your real hair, why not spray a cloud and then walk through it. That way you are getting the benefit of the spray without a direct application.
You could also spray the perfume on your wrists and the lightly brush your wrists on your ear lobes and around your hairline.
Of course nothing is damaging if you only do it a little bit for special events. Just my personal opinion of course. Great question. Thanks for sharing with us.
