Apply to towel-dried still-damp hair:
Ingredients For DIY Sea Salt Spray
-Clean Sterile Spray bottle
-1 cup hot water - (not too hot to apply to your scalp)
-1-2 tsp sea salt (up to 1 full tsp for a more beach enhanced look)
-1 tbsp jojoba or coconut oil or argan oil. (If you prefer, you can mix 1/2 tsp of 2 of the oils)
-½ tsp leave-in conditioner which is best for your hair type & texture
-1/8th teaspoon hair styling light pomade or light water-based gel (optional - some prefer to skip this ingredient)
Note: For a true beach result, mix and max the oils, conditioners and pomade/gels with beach infused scents. Coconut oil is a great beach based fragrance if you hair can handle coconut oil. If you can find a leave-in, pomade or gel with coconut or similar aromas, be sure to mix those in. You can also add a few drops of your favorite essential oil or fragrance to amp up the results.
Pour the hot water into the clean spray bottle.
Add sea salt followed by oil, conditioner and pomade/gel.
Shake until completely mixed.
Spritz on your damp hair and scrunch. For a more pronounced beach look apply the spray and then braid hair. Allow hair to aid dry with sea salt spray in the hair.
Experiment for the best mixture for your hair type, texture, length and condition.
